Jens Edrich is a specialist in general medicine and doctor of anthroposophic medicine in his own practice in Herbrechtingen, Germany. Early on, he was concerned with the question of expanding the natural sciences to include the spiritual-scientific topics. During his medical studies at the University of Heidelberg/Mannheim, Germany, he devoted himself in particular to the scientific work of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe as well as to the extensive research work on spiritual-scientific topics of Rudolf Steiner. Since 2000, Jens Edrich has also been intensively studying the comprehensive spiritual-scientific work of the spiritual researcher Heinz Grill on medicine and on spiritual-scientific development issues of the human being. |
After completing his general medical training, which he completed in the subjects of pediatrics, internal medicine, intensive care, surgery and general medicine, Jens Edrich finally founded his own practice in Heidenheim an der Brenz in 2006, which moved to Herbrechtingen in 2022.

On the occasion of the Corona crisis, Jens Edrich founded the "Institut für Sozialgestaltung, Entwicklungs- und Gesundheitsfragen" (IfSEG) (Institute for Social Design, Development and Health Issues) in Herbrechtingen and later the Narayana Institut.
In his remarks from the field of medicine and therapy, Dr. Jens Edrich once again deepens the view of the expandability of a fruitful complement of natural sciences and spiritual-scientific topics, which has already been indicated in the article "The relationship between science and spirituality".
